ARCHIVE SITE.  “Following the 2015 General Election, I am no longer the Conservative candidate for Stockport. This website now solely serves as an archive and won’t be updated any further. I would like to thank the 10,000 people who put their trust in me and congratulate Ann Coffey on her victory.  Ann is a kind lady and was a very generous opponent – I wish her all the very best of luck over the next five years. While we fell short in Stockport, I am delighted that my friends Mary Robinson and William Wragg were successful in Cheadle and Hazel Grove – they will both make outstanding Members of Parliament for the area.  I know that the people of Stockport will be well served by David Cameron in Downing Street and an overall Conservative Government.  Thank you again to everyone in Stockport, Brinnington and Central, Davenport and Cale Green, Edgeley and Cheadle Heath and the Heatons

dhng2It is an honour to have been selected as the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Stockport.

I have had strong links with Stockport my entire life – my family run an electronics business based in the borough that does business all around the world, my grandfather taught at Manchester University and grandmother worked in clinical support at Stepping Hill and Wythenshawe Hospitals.

Like so many people locally, my family rely on local NHS services.  As your Member of Parliament, I will work tirelessly to expose LibDem mismanagement on Stockport Council and fight for the high quality public services people in Stockport deserve.

As a former local councillor, I have experience of leading campaigns to regenerate town centre areas that suffer from empty retail units and a lack of investment, opposing inappropriate housing developments and helping local residents resolve problems with local and national government bodies.

Professionally, I advise businesses in a range of sectors – from defence and aerospace to manufacturing – on how to get the best deal from government. I have worked with businesses to attract millions of pounds of investment to the UK.  I will use this experience on the campaign trail to make the case for continued investment in local jobs and infrastructure.

If you elect me as your Member of Parliament, I will hit the ground running to deliver positive change for Stockport.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if I can help in any way
